Uses

The tools that have survived on my machines for more than a year, updated occasionally.

Software

• Editor: Neovim for prose and config, VS Code when a language server earns its RAM
• Shell: bash, with a 40-line .bashrc I can still explain
• Version control: git, obviously; jj on weekends
• Notes: plain Markdown files in a synced folder
• Backups: restic to object storage, nightly

Server stack

• Debian stable, one small VPS
• nginx, certbot/acme.sh, ufw, fail2ban
• SQLite wherever a database is unavoidable
